Schemes that apply in Haryana

Two central schemes and what we know of the state. Amounts and dates can change, so each card links to its source.

PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana

Central assistance for rooftop solar on homes: ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW, capped at ₹78,000. It needs DCR modules and an application on the national portal.

  • 1 kW ₹30,000
  • 2 kW ₹60,000
  • 3 kW or more ₹78,000

Housing societies and resident welfare associations get ₹18,000 per kW for common facilities, up to 500 kW at 3 kW per house.

The amounts are the same in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. The scheme runs until March 2027 (FY 2026-27). Check the portal for any extension.

PM‑KUSUM solar pumps

Stand-alone solar pumps (component B): HAREDA lists 75 percent subsidy, 30 percent central and 45 percent state, with the farmer paying 25 percent. Applications are made on SARAL. HAREDA's page is dated 2023, so confirm today's terms. HAREDA posted notices for 2025-26 and we found no 2026-27 window.

We tell you when a new window opens. Confirm the current position with HAREDA before you plan around a subsidy.

State assistance on rooftop solar

Haryana has announced extra state help for low-income families: ₹50,000 for Antyodaya families earning up to ₹1.8 lakh a year (up to 2 kW), and ₹10,000 per kW up to ₹20,000 for incomes of ₹1.8 to 3 lakh. It is first come, first served, so we confirm availability with HAREDA and your DISCOM before counting on it.

Not confirmed: availability can only be checked with the agency.

Ask HAREDA before you rely on it. The income bands and amounts come from press reports of the 2024 announcement, and we found no HAREDA notice on what is left.

Net metering in Haryana, step by step

The connection is approved by UHBVN or DHBVN, under HERC rules. The tag on each step says who does it.

  1. Wesics

    Survey and size

We measure the roof, map shade, read your bills and check your sanctioned load. You get an itemised quote and a 3D layout.

  2. Wesics

    File with your DISCOM

We file the net-metering application with UHBVN or DHBVN, whichever serves your district. For PM Surya Ghar the application also starts on the national portal. The districts of each are listed below.

  3. DISCOM

    Feasibility and approval

Your DISCOM checks that your connection can take the plant and approves the application. Timelines are set by the DISCOM and HERC. See the reported rules below, and ask us for the current expectation.

  4. Wesics

    Install to the approved design

Our crew installs the modules, structure, cables, earthing and protection to the approved design.

  5. DISCOM

    Inspection and meter

Your DISCOM inspects the plant and fits or approves a bi-directional meter.

  6. You

    Commissioning and subsidy claim

The plant is commissioned and the meter starts counting both ways. With PM Surya Ghar, commissioning is what lets the subsidy claim go through.

Which DISCOM serves your district

UHBVN 10 districts
