Terms of service

The terms for using this website and for solar work we do for you in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh.

Using this website

These terms cover this website and the services of Wesics Energies ("we", "us"), a company with its office in Ludhiana, Punjab, serving Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. By using the website or asking us for a service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

We may change these terms. The new version applies from the date shown at the top of this page. If you are already our customer, the terms in your signed quote or agreement apply to your project.

The contact, callback and site survey forms send your details to our customer records system when you submit them, and also prepare a WhatsApp message you can choose to send. The careers and partner forms only prepare the WhatsApp message. See our privacy policy for what happens to the details.

Our services

We offer:

  • Homes
  • Housing societies
  • Factories and businesses
  • Farms and solar pumps
  • Panel cleaning
  • Operations and maintenance
  • Monitoring

We also license our solar CRM to other installers and subcontract field work to them. Those arrangements have their own written agreement, which takes precedence over these terms.

What is included in your project is set out in your quote or agreement. These terms apply unless that document says otherwise.

Estimates and calculators

Savings figures, system sizes and subsidy amounts shown on this website are estimates built on stated assumptions, for example 120 units a month per kW and a default tariff you can change. They are not a quote, an offer or a guarantee of savings or generation.

  • You still pay your distribution company (PSPCL in Punjab; UHBVN or DHBVN in Haryana; HPSEBL in Himachal Pradesh; CPDL in Chandigarh) fixed and meter charges after solar.
  • Punjab's free-units scheme for homes is not included in this estimate.
  • HERC sets one slab tariff for all of Haryana; use the per-unit rate on your bill.
  • Himachal's free units for homes and its subsidised slabs are not included in this estimate.
  • CPDL bills on a slab tariff set by JERC; use the per-unit rate on your bill.
  • A site survey is what gives you an itemised quote.

Geometric layouts and shading drawings are planning aids. They are not structural or electrical certification.

Quotes, agreements and payment

A quote sets the scope, price, taxes and payment schedule for your project, and the dates for which it is valid. A project starts when you accept the quote in writing, which can include a reply by WhatsApp or email.

Payments are due as the quote says. If a payment is late, the interest or suspension terms in your agreement apply. Prices exclude taxes, duties and government fees unless the quote states otherwise, and you are responsible for the taxes that apply to your purchase.

Subsidy, net metering and approvals

We prepare and file subsidy and net-metering applications for you. The decisions are made by others: the central PM Surya Ghar portal, your distribution company (PSPCL in Punjab; UHBVN or DHBVN in Haryana; HPSEBL in Himachal Pradesh; CPDL in Chandigarh), the state or Union Territory agency (PEDA, HAREDA, HIMURJA or CREST) and, for housing societies and rented property, the society or owner.

We cannot promise that an approval will be given, how long it will take or what amount will be paid. Scheme rules and amounts can change between your quote and your approval. If an approval is refused or changed, we will tell you what it means for your project.

What we ask of you

  • Give us accurate information about yourself, your property and your electricity use.
  • Give our crew safe access to the site, and arrange the permissions needed from owners, societies and authorities.
  • Follow the laws, building and electrical codes and utility rules that apply to the installation.
  • Pay as agreed.
  • Do not tamper with installed equipment or our monitoring, use our services for anything unlawful, or give your client-portal sign-in to others.

Warranties and liability

Modules, inverters, structures and meters carry the manufacturer's warranty, and the terms are in the manufacturer's documents, which we give you. The period and scope of our workmanship warranty are stated in your quote or agreement. Systems under PM Surya Ghar carry the scheme's maintenance requirement on the installer. Warranties do not cover damage from outside causes, misuse or changes made without us.

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for a claim about a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost savings.

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as flood, fire, pandemic, government action or grid outage.

Intellectual property

The content of this website, including text, graphics, logos, images and software, belongs to Wesics Energies or its licensors. You may view and use it for your own purposes. You may not copy, modify or distribute it without our written permission. Our logo files on the newsroom page may be used to refer to us, unaltered.

You own your solar system once you have paid for it. We may use anonymised performance data to improve our services. Your personal data is handled under our privacy policy.

Ending an agreement

You can end an ongoing service agreement, such as a cleaning or maintenance plan, with 30 days' written notice. Fees for work already done remain due, and any early-ending terms in your agreement apply.

We can end an agreement at once if you breach these terms, do not pay, or if continuing would be unsafe. We can also end an ongoing service plan with 30 days' notice. When an agreement ends, your access to ongoing services and the client portal ends. Manufacturer warranties and completed work stay in place.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We ask that you first raise a dispute with us in writing so we can try to settle it within 30 days. If that does not work, the parties will try mediation, then arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, and only then the courts. The courts at Ludhiana, Punjab have jurisdiction.
